In 1991, SUFE was ratified as one of the first nine universities to offer MBA education in China by MOE. Relying on the comprehensive advantages of college of business and university, the MBA program has spent nearly 30 years exploring the starting road of higher business education program from scratch, from small to large, from young to influential, and has established a modern governance system which has been widely applied in the practice of mission, inheritance and innovation and social impact. Highly recognized by the community, nearly 10000 alumni have made outstanding contributions to China's economic and social development. In 2011, the MBA School was restructured and renamed College of Business (COB). The MBA and EMBA programs of SUFE were accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and China’s Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA) in 2012 and 2013 respectively. The MBA and EMBA programs of COB, SUFE were also accredited by AACSB in 2017. In 2020, MBA program first participated in the FT (Financial Times) 2020 full-time MBA ranking, ranking fifth in mainland China (forty-seventh in the world). Among them, the salary growth rate of graduates within three years ranks the first in the world, and the career development and project cost-effective ratio of graduates rank fourth in the world.

At present, the MBA program is constantly forging ahead in the aspects of cultivating system, teacher development, overseas exchange, combination of production and teaching, and students' career development, striving to build an MBA program with " First class in China and well known in the world ", and actively contributing to the spread and progress of world business civilization, and business wisdom and business practice from China.
